We spent our Thanksgiving week at The Perch in Fort Morgan, and it was hands-down one of the most memorable holidays our family has ever had. Swapping cold weather and crowded kitchens for ocean views and peaceful beach walks was the best decision we could’ve made!

The Perch is cozy, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a coastal charm that immediately made us feel at home. The open-concept kitchen and living space made it easy to prepare and share our Thanksgiving meal together—with enough room for everyone to cook, laugh, and relax without stepping on each other’s toes. We even set up our dinner on the deck with a view of the water—who needs a dining room when you have that view?

Instead of fighting traffic and freezing temps, we took sunrise walks on the beach, had morning coffee on the deck, and spent afternoons playing games and watching football with the ocean breeze drifting through the windows. Some of us even started a new tradition: a Thanksgiving morning walk in the sand before cooking began. It was peaceful, grounding, and absolutely beautiful.

Celebrating Thanksgiving at The Perch reminded us of what the holiday is really about: slowing down, appreciating each other, and making memories together. The beach made it feel extra special—calm, simple, and full of joy.

We spent the last week at The Perch for our first Girlfriends Ultimate Getaway. It was exactly what we hoped for—and so much more! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. This two-story beach house became our happy place for long talks, laughing fits, beach walks, and bonding time we’ll never forget.

The Perch is beautifully laid out, perfect for a group of girlfriends. Each room was comfortable, clean, and filled with that breezy beach-house charm. The open living space gave us plenty of room to cook meals together, play games at night, and just lounge around and catch up. And the views? Absolutely stunning—sunrises over the water with coffee in hand became our favorite ritual.

The beach felt like it was ours alone especially on our long walks down to Fort Morgan. We spent our days soaking up the sun, floating in the waves, and walking along the shore collecting shells and stories. It’s far enough from the crowds to feel peaceful, but close enough to grab dinner or drinks if we wanted at night out.

We cooked big group meals in the fully stocked kitchen, had a seafood feast one night, and even did a beach picnic with wine and charcuterie. It was all so easy and relaxed—we never felt rushed or crowded.
Thank you for making The Perch the space for us to reconnect, laugh, relax, and make memories that will last forever. We’re already talking about making it an annual tradition!

The Perch is so beautifully designed, and ideal for our cozy, intimate getaway. Every detail felt thoughtful and welcoming—from the Master Bathroom with a shower for two to the fully stocked kitchen (perfect for cooking breakfast together then sitting on the upper deck eating together while sipping on our mimosas outside).
We had the beach almost entirely to ourselves, which made for dreamy morning walks, afternoon lounging, and stargazing at night with no city lights in sight. The sounds of the ocean lulled us to sleep each night—it was peaceful beyond words.

After dark we spent hours just talking on the deck, sipping wine and enjoying candlelit dinners as the sun melted into the horizon.

The interior is a picture of beach-house perfection: light, airy, and spotlessly clean. Thoughtful touches—tasteful coastal décor—made the space feel like home instantly. The kitchen had everything we could need at our fingertips, and the living areas were comfortable and spacious enough for our family to gather and relax.

One of our favorite Perch Perks: The outdoor shower was a lifesaver for rinsing off salt and sand before heading back inside.

The Perch is perfectly situated on Fort Morgan’s serene stretch of coastline. We loved having the beach practically at our doorstep, and Fort Morgan’s historic fort and local eateries like Jesses’s on the Bay and Tacky Jacks II were just a short drive away. Highlights included:

• Morning shell hunts on the quiet shoreline
• Kayaking and paddleboarding rentals right on the beach.
• Sunset cocktails at Jesse’s on the Bay!

We felt completely rejuvenated by the end of our stay by the wonderful beach and sand between our toes, ocean breezes, and time to reconnect as a family. We can’t wait to return!
